MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY COMMISSIONER

              I take pride in presenting before you our user friendly website. The District Administration aims to provide citizen friendly services in an efficient, transparent and effective manner. We sincerely feel that all the services have to be provided to our people in a simplified and easily accessible way. The website has been designed in such a way that the flow of information from the various offices to the general public is available smoothly and seamlessly.

              The ‘District Administration’ profile provides in detail various activities / schemes / projects undertaken by each Department. The Heads of Departments may be contacted telephonically as also through e-mail. Details of activities of the Works Departments of the District have also been uploaded so that the progress of the developmental schemes / projects can also be viewed by anyone. The details relating to PM Package, MPLADS, MLALADS, BADP, NEC, RIDF, SPA, ACA, NLCPR etc. can also be viewed so as to keep oneself updated with the latest developmental activities being undertaken in the District or in the pipeline.

              The ‘Maps’ section of the website includes those of the District, Circles, C.D. Blocks as also Assembly Constituencies of the District.

              Various ‘Forms’ relating to services provided by the different Departments as also procedure relating to filling those forms have also been uploaded for the convenience of the general public.

              The ‘Announcement’ section of the website provides details of upcoming events / training programmes of the District for the information of all. The interested applicants can furnish their details to the Department concerned for registration etc. as the case may be.

              The ‘Tenders / Quotations’ floated / called by a particular Department will also be uploaded on the District Website so as to ensure transparency, competitive rates as also greater participation.

              The ‘Interactive Corner ’ section caters to the need of any one who wants to contact the Deputy Commissioner through this medium for any grievance / suggestion. Also, one can lodge an FIR / complaint on which immediate action will be taken by the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police.

              The ‘Elected members’ profile gives information about the name, address and contact numbers of the elected representatives of the District.

              The ‘My District, My Pride’ feature gives one a glimpse of the untouched natural beauty of the District as also photographs from the archives. Information about the five major tribes of the District as also their culture, traditions, festivals, the history, geographical profile etc. has also been provided so that our youth understand our culture and keep its vibrant character intact.

              The ‘Traveller’s Corner’ of the website provides information to the tourists visiting the District about the places of attraction, modes of travel, accommodation arrangements and other related information so as to make their visit to our District comfortable and memorable.

              I congratulate the team of the District Unit of NIC, especially Sh. P.K. Thungon, DIO and Sh. Bimal Chandra Borah, DIA, NIC of the district for the pioneering efforts in designing and developing this website. I wish them success in all their present & future assignments.

              The District Administration seeks healthy and active cooperation from the people of our District so that our District grows manifold and witnesses advancement in all fields. We seek feedback on all important matters relating to our District.
