(I)INTRODUCTION: The name of our department is Rural Works Department located / established at Singchung Sub-Division, West Kameng District, which is approximately 30 km. away from the District Administrative Centre. We have presently 2 (two) Sub-Division namely Bomdila Sub-Division located at Bomdila and Kalaktang Sub-Division located at Kalaktang. Under this Sub-Division we have 08 (eight) sections and 03 (three) sections are look-after by the ASW / AE of this Office. Besides this we have one more wing i.e. Soil conservation wing which is look-after by the ASCO, attached to this Office.

(II) DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES: The developmental works of our department are based on the Road & Bridges works. At present we have carried out the roads works funded under PMGSY which is the back bone our department. During this financial year we had carried out 11 (eleven) Nos. of PMGSY Road successfully. Besides this we also undertake the deposit work of various departments funded under SPA, ACA, MPLADS & MLALADS etc. In addition to this, we have one more developmental activities in the field of Soil conservation schemes.

(III) CONCLUSION: At the conclusion, it is to state that we have to prepare estimate of Road, Bridges and Buildings Works including estimate for other Departmental works as and when requisition placed.
