Economic and Statistics

Staff Position:-

There is one Inspector of Statistics, 3 (three) Sub Inspectors of Statistics Posted, 1 (one) each at Bomdila, Dirang and Bhalukpong, 4 (four) Field investigators newly posted 2 (two) persons at Bomdila (l Ad-hoc) and 1 (one) each at Rupa and Nafra.There is no staff posted at Kalaktang, Thrizino, Sinchung, Shergaon, Balemu and Thembang. Due to shortage of Field Staffs, collection of Statistical Data as well as conducting time bound survey like National Sample Survey in the successive Round is hampereing. The District Statistical Office,Bomdila is doing the following activities in the district.

Publication:-

The District Statistical Office, is collecting Statistical information from all the head of department of the district to bring out publications like-

1. District Statistical Hand book
2. District at Glance
3. Block level Statistics
4. District Economics Review.

National Sample Survey:-

Field Staff of District Statistical Office is conducting Field Survey on National Sample Survey in the District as per Sample villages and urban block provided by the National Sample Survey Organization, Govt. of India New Delhi. After completion of field survey central samples are dispatched to the Director, Data Processing Division Eastern Zone, Kolkata and State samples are dispatched to the Director of Economics and Statistics, Itanagar.

Vital Statistics:-

Registration of births and deaths occurrence is being done and issue births and deaths certificate. Submission of monthly report on birth and death to the Director, Itanagar.

Retail Price Statistics:-

Quarterly, monthly, half yearly retail prices are collected from Bomdila market and used to submit to the Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar for onward submission to the Govt. of India.

Market Survey:-

Schedules supplied by National Sample Survey Organization are canvassed monthly at Bomdila market and used to submit to the Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar for onward submission to the Govt. of India.

Report and Return:-

Annual census of Govt. Employees are collected from all source offices of the district and submitted to the Director, Itanagar for publication at state level.

Census:-

Decadal population census is conducted in the district by the district statistical office as model department on behalf of Director of census operation, Arunachal Pradesh, Govt. of India, Shillong.

Economic Census:-

QuinQuinnel survey on Economic Census schedules framed by central statistical organization, Govt. of India, New Delhi is conducted in the district.
