Tax and Excise

The office of the Assistant Commissioner, Tax & Excise is located within the premises of the Deputy Commissioner Bomdila. The main function of the department is to implement the Arunachal Pradesh Goods Tax Act’2005(VAT) and the Arunachal Pradesh Excise Act’1993 and thereby collect Government revenue.
Under the APGT Act’ five firms are registered and under the Excise Act 1993 retail license are issued by the DC on approval from the Govt. and the canteen tenant Licenses to the Defense units are issued by the DC on deposition of the License fees.
The Permits for collection of Liquor is issued on deposition of excise duties.
There is a Border facilitation counter (Check gate) at Bhalukpong for collection of Entry Tax under the APGT ACT ’05.Six inspectors and five guards are posted at the check gate.
