BRIEF NOTE ABOUT DISTRICT TREASURY, WEST KAMENG DISTRICT, ARUNACHAL PRADESH, BOMDILA.

The District Treasury, Bomdila is functioning as per Central Treasury rules under general charges of the collector. There are 42 Nos of Non-Cheque drawal DDO’s and 11 Nos of Cheque drawing DDO’s under the jurisdiction of Treasury Office, Bomdila. The main activities of District Treasury Bomdila is to keep proper expenditure and receipts of DDO’s only & Govt. Transaction utmost effort has been made to check proper distribution of funds provided by the head of offices. Proper care is being made to check the head of accounts before passing any claims. The District Treasury Bomdila is also prepare and pass all natures of Pension bills viz. Political central Civil, Defense and state Pensions.
This office is also issue/sales Non-Postal stamps. Top priority is given to furnish neat & clean submission of monthly accounts to Accountant General, (A & H) Shillong by the 10th of the succeeding month regularly.

The District Treasury, Bomdila is one of the oldest office building in the Bomdila which has been established in 1957 as per record. This office is located in front of Govt. Higher secondary School/state Bank of India, BomdiIa.

Initially District Treasury functioned as Non-banking Treasury. In the year of 60′ the power of Non-Banking converted into Banking Treasury and the office is following Central Treasury Rules.
The Deputy Commissioner, West Kameng District, Bomdila is the controlling Officer of the District Treasury and Treasury Officer is the Head of Office. The Office has empowered DDO power during the year 2002.

Physical activities:-

The main fuction of the office is to maintain expenditure and revenue of DDO’s in the District. There are 42 nos of Non- cheq ue drawal DDO’s and 11 nos of cheques drawing DDO’s under the jurisdiction of Treasury office, Bomdila.This figures may change time to time. This office also used to keep duplicate keys of the DDO’s. This office issues/sales Non-Judicial stamp paper also. The Treasury Officer, Bomdila is discharging its function under the Central Treasury Rule at the utmost effort with neat & clean and submit monthly accounts before 10th of the succeeding month to Accountant General, (A & H) Shillong, Meghalaya.
